Feature announcement videos

Most features ship as a changelog entry and a tweet, and both get read by people who already love the product. A short video of the feature doing its job reaches the people who would never open your release notes, and it shows the feature working instead of describing it.

The mechanics are the same as everything else we make. Paste your URL, get 20 short videos of your product within 24 hours free, and pay only to finish the one you pick.

What a feature video shows

A feature announcement video needs to show what the work looked like before the feature and what it looks like after. The videos above show the pattern. In one, a screen full of manual retyping is replaced by one summary line. In another, replies to overnight emails are already in the Sent folder by morning. Fifteen to thirty seconds is usually enough, because a feature announcement only has one thing to explain.

If you ship every month

Teams that release constantly do not want to run a project for every video, so there is a standing arrangement for it. The Release Retainer costs $4,000 a month and covers two videos a month made from your changelog, with a 48-hour turnaround, and every video is made with the same saved brand setup so it matches the last one. One-off features can still go through the normal 20-video process.
