Reality Contact LLC, operating as 20cuts, provides reusable motion packs under the license included in each download. Earlier product purchases and accepted commissioned projects retain their original terms.
Open-source animation system and connector
The original 20cuts source in the open-source video animation system and local agent connector is MIT-licensed. You may use, copy, modify, publish, distribute, sublicense, or sell that source, including for commercial work, subject to the included MIT license. Keep its copyright notice and license with copies or substantial portions.
These MIT grants do not require an account or membership and are not revoked by cancellation or a refund. The full license, including its warranty terms, is included in each download. Remotion, bundled fonts, and other dependencies retain their separate licenses.
Motion packs
A free download or a download during verified paid membership licenses the original 20cuts source, prompts, and guides to you and your organization. You may adapt them to produce finished videos for yourself and clients, and publish or sell those finished videos. Employees and contractors may use your copy privately for those productions.
Canceling membership stops future member downloads after the paid period; it does not revoke the license to packs already downloaded. Do not resell or publicly redistribute the reusable packs, source templates, prompts, or lessons as a library, course, or competing download. A refund that reverses the payment covering a paid download ends that download’s 20cuts grant. This does not affect the open-source animation system, connector, or free type starter, which retain their included MIT licenses.
Read each pack’s third-party notices. Forma and Aster contain credited reference photographs for study that are excluded from the 20cuts reuse grant; replace those images with your own or appropriately licensed assets before publication. Bundled fonts and software retain their own licenses. Any required Remotion company license is separate.
Earlier Creation System purchases
Your purchase licenses the 20cuts source, examples, illustrations, prompts, and lessons to you and your organization. You may modify them to produce videos for your own products and for clients, and publish or sell those finished videos. You may share the source privately with employees and contractors working on those productions for you.
Do not resell, give away, or publicly redistribute the source kit or lessons as a template pack, course, or library. Clients who need the reusable kit for independent production should obtain their own copy. You can keep using the included files under this license. A full purchase refund ends this license. Each download contains its full usage license and third-party notices. Remotion and bundled fonts retain their own licenses.
A commissioned video
After delivery and full payment, you may use the finished video worldwide on your website, in advertising, on social channels, and in sales or training material. This license does not expire and does not require you to credit 20cuts. You may trim, caption, and resize the delivered video for those uses, subject to any third-party restrictions your proposal identifies.
Music and other third-party assets
Third-party music, fonts, footage, and other assets remain subject to their own licenses. We identify any restrictions relevant to your intended use before you buy. Permission to use an asset within the finished video does not necessarily permit extracting or distributing the asset separately.
Editable files for commissioned work
You receive editable project files only when the proposal says so. We retain our pre-existing tools, reusable animation components, and production systems. Your product materials remain yours. Previews and unused directions are for evaluation unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Voice recordings
If a project uses a supplied voice recording or a synthetic voice, we agree on that use in the proposal. You must have the speaker’s permission for the agreed use of their voice.
Portfolio permission
We ask for permission before showing your commissioned video in our portfolio or identifying you as a client.
